Is the World You Left Still Here

This series is made from bamboo and Xuan paper — materials from the landscape of my hometown in southwestern China, where rivers and bamboo groves shaped the lives of its people.

Craft and memory from the place I once left.

Kite-making, paper cutting, temporary forms — symbols of intention, protection, and offering. Made to communicate. Colour orients; patterns repeat; the cut edges mark a threshold.

The town is no longer the same town.

The form continues to evolve.
