The installation “Walking to the End of the River” explores the interconnectedness of rivers, water bodies, land, and people. It is inspired by ancient verses written by Tang dynasty poet Wang Wei: “行到水窮處, 坐看雲起時” which translates to ‘walk to the end of the water, sit and watch the clouds rise.’ The installation depicts this poetic scene that merges traditional sensations with contemporary ecological concerns. The work is based on research into sustainable materials and local crafts. It consists of groups of bamboo structures and lithograph prints on Xuan paper.
